The certification I am working on for orthopedic massage is coming along very well. This technique falls in with neuromuscular and sports massage modalities. It uses a combination of swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, and myofascial therapies. It is great to see how well it can help with joint problems and helping people striving to maintain muscular and skeletal balance. It works nicely into sessions where people are not only coping with injuries and pain but also are wanting a nice relaxing massage.
My last seminar (second of three towards certification) was in November 2013 and was on the upper body. My next seminar will be a week long class in July 2014.
